On Saturday afternoon we held the Major Division Fall Ball Championship between Navy and Green. Both teams were 3-0 going into the last game. Earlier in the day Navy earned its spot in the Championship game by defeating Orange 11-2. Green earned its spot with 6-0 forfeit over Royal. With Green batting first they were the able to take a 1-0 lead in the top of first inning. Navy came right back in the bottom half of the inning and scored 3 runs to take a 3-1 lead. Both teams had multiple other chances to score, but were unable to put anymore runs across and the game ended with Navy winning 3-1. Both teams played well. I would again like to thank our players, parents, and coaches for making this a successful first season of fall ball held by Madera National. I look forward to see the growth of our program and our players next spring. Again Congratulations to Navy in the Major Division and Royal in the Minor Division.

On Tuesday night we held the Minor League Fall Ball Championship game between Royal Blue and Grey. The Grey team was the first to score with 2 runs in the bottom of the second. It stayed that way until the top of the 4th when the Royal Blue team scored 4 runs to take a 4-2 lead. Grey scored another run in the bottom of the 5th to make it 4-3 going into the last inning. Both teams were unable to score anymore runs and the game finished with Royal Blue winning 4-3 over Grey. Both teams played an excellent game and should be very proud of how well they did this year. I would like also to praise the play of all the teams that were invoilved in the Minor League Fall Ball this year and thank the coaches for all their hard work. I look forward to seeing you all in the Spring when we start Little League.
