What a great night for Madera National League last night! Our AAA Minors Champions Lee's Concrete started off the evening victorious in a very tightly contested match against Massetti Appliance. In the end our bats prevailed and the boys were able to celebrate a great win!
In the second event of the night, the match up of American Leagues Majors division Lee's Concrete ( seems like this sponsor is having some luck this season ) against the National League Majors division Kiwanis. Kiwanis wasted little time putting a run up in their half of the first inning, but Lee's didn't take long to answer with a great home run to put them up 4-1. There was a rarely seen triple play performed by Kiwanis, just when Lee's was setup to strike again. The game went back and forth and was decided by the boys on the field, who all fought with everything they had. Kiwanis put an exclamation on their end of the season run with a great City Championship to add to their accomplishments.
All four of these teams will play Tuesday in the District Tournament of Champions (TOC) Tournament. This is a single elimination tournament to find the best team from all nine of the league's in District 10. You can follow their progress by following the attached link to the District website, as well as stay in touch with our facebook page for progress on MNLL's Lee's, and Kiwanis.

Please follow us there for the most up to date information, especially updates on signups, tryouts, and season playing condition status regarding rainouts, etc.  Please stay tuned for more information.

Congratulations to all the McDonalds boys on their successful campaign to be Madera city champs! Thank you to all who have supported us throughout this season. We had tough playoff games versus round table and Creamer tile. Those games toughened up our boys and readied them to knock off defending champs Papa Murphy’s. The boys then played their hearts out at river park, but came up short 6-5 in toc. They played great in every aspect of the game, and every one contributed in some way. Bret Carrell tagged along and helped out by pitching our whiffle ball warm ups, then rooted for us all the way. Coach Meyers , Burns, and Martinez had these boys ready and playing in championship form. Tower, Toro, and Ewok pitched lights out all year. They also combined for 12 home runs. Gort, Muddy, Sharky, Rayban, and Hansel, came through all season long in tough situations with the bats and the gloves. Our youngest guys Boon, Sureye, Mumble and Lojack all show the signs of bright futures. Congratulations to Tower Chavira on his land slide player of the year award! You parents should be proud. Coaching these kids is like having a large family! And you know in any family there will be hiccups along the way. We managed to overcome the hiccups and every one of these boys are great kids and Ive been privileged to coach them. Congratulations to all of the young men who made all stars, and to their respective coaching staffs
